Description: I. 'FRENCH COLONIAL TROOPS. The French Colonial Troops from Cochin-China, who carry fans and are now on the Salonika front'. MS pan over men gathered by their tents - many wear the shallow, conical 'coolie' hats and are bare-footed. Their arms are stacked and they are setting up camp. A few Europeans stand about amidst the orientals. 'CAMP LIFE AMONG THE ANNAMITES. Indo-Chinese troops who use chopsticks instead of the customary knife and fork'. Pan over the men sitting cross-legged on the ground - some are cleaning their carbines. A group tends a fire burning in a shallow trench in which open pots are heating - one man stirs a pot. No chopsticks are evident.II. 'THE ROYAL SHOW. The Royal Agricultural Society's Annual Show at Manchester. Shetland ponies, pigs, and champion bulls being judged in the prize ring'. Men milk cows before spectators. Holstein-Friesland bulls are exhibited, each with its number around its neck. CU of sheep in a pen. 'THE KING'S EXHIBITS. His Majesty and the Prince of Wales were well represented in several classes'. Shire horses are led past the camera. CU of Shetland ponies being groomed. Pigs are driven past and CU of one particularly large animal grazing.
